Cosmetic Dentistry

While general dentistry focuses on the health of the teeth, cosmetic dentistry focuses more on their aesthetic value. Studies plainly show that more attractive teeth lead to a higher level of self-confidence in most areas of life. We’ll help you attain that confidence with a variety of services.
- Teeth bleaching
- Porcelain veneers
- Teeth-colored fillings
- Dental implants
- Dentures

Teeth Bleaching
Professional teeth bleaching is one of the safest and most conservative cosmetic dental treatments available. We offer Phillips ZOOM Whitening in the office as well as at-home professional whitening systems.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are thin, tooth-colored shells of ceramic custom-fitted and bonded to the front of your teeth to create a whiter, more even smile. Veneers can address a variety of issues, including chipped, yellow, stained, misshapen, or crooked teeth, and teeth with excessive space between them.
Fillings
The fillings we use are made of dental composite resin, a material that more closely resembles the natural color of teeth than old fillings. We can protect your teeth from painful and unsightly holes while still appearing untouched.
Dental Implants
A dental implant is an artificial tooth replacement filling the space left by a missing tooth. Dental implants range from individual crowns to large-scale dentures. Trust an accomplished cosmetic dentist to ensure the most comfortable and aesthetically pleasing fit.

Invisalign®

If you’ve wanted to improve your smile, but haven’t wanted to deal with the mouthful of metal that braces bring, Invisalign® may be for you. They eliminate both the discomfort of metal wires and the inconvenience of adjustments.
The Invisalign system uses virtually invisible aligners that straighten teeth without the inconvenience of adjusting uncomfortable metal bands, brackets, or wires. The custom-made trays are comfortable and easy to remove when necessary. The clear-plastic Invisalign aligners are so inconspicuous that it is difficult to tell when someone is wearing them.
Invisalign® v. Braces
Invisalign aligners offer many benefits over traditional metal braces, including:
- More cosmetically appealing
- Lower cost
- Little to no impact on daily life
- Less painful
- Greater flexibility because aligners can be removed at any time
- Easier to keep teeth clean and healthy
- No dietary restrictions
- Easier to maintain an active, athletic lifestyle, free from worry about injury or bracket breakage.
Full Mouth Restoration

When damage or decay is so extensive that all teeth in both the upper and lower jaw need to be reconstructed, full mouth restoration is a great option. This process can include a combination of crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, and/or implants.
Missing teeth often lead to serious dental problems and can significantly inhibit a patient’s ability to eat and speak. It is important to seek restorative treatment for any missing teeth, but especially when most or all of the teeth are damaged.
Candidates for Full Mouth Restoration
You may be a candidate for full mouth restoration if you’re missing or have severely damaged teeth caused by:
- Decay
- Injury or fracture
- Acid erosion
- Tooth grinding
- Malocclusion
Full Mouth Restoration Options
There are several treatment options for reconstruction patients. Each type of dental restoration offers its benefits, and treatments are often combined to complete a full mouth restoration.
There is a wide variety of prosthetic materials commonly used to replace damaged or missing teeth. They may replace specific teeth, a few teeth, or all of the teeth. Some of these options may include:
Crowns
Dental crowns are individual prosthetics used to replace missing or severely damaged teeth. Crowns are implanted into the jawbone with a titanium implant root or placed with cement as a cap over an existing tooth. The actual crown can be made from metal, porcelain, or a combination to provide a replacement that looks and feels natural. Crowns withstand the same pressures as a normal tooth, so patients enjoy the convenience of eating, speaking, and smiling without issue.
Bridges
Dental bridges replace missing teeth with a short row of prosthetics that rely on the strength of surrounding teeth to stabilize your bite and prevent surrounding teeth from moving into the open space of the missing tooth. Bridges can be permanent or removable and restore function and appearance.
Veneers
Veneers are shells made from composite or porcelain fitted over natural teeth to provide a complete, white, and even smile, replacing crooked, chipped, or discolored teeth. However, veneers are a cosmetic enhancement and cannot replace missing teeth. You might wonder how long veneers last. They typically last for 10 to 15 years and are more durable and less expensive than other materials. However, veneers are a cosmetic enhancement and cannot replace missing teeth.
Dentures
Dentures typically replace an entire arch of teeth. They can be removable or fixed and partial or full, depending on each patient’s needs and preferences. Permanent dentures can be treated just like natural teeth, but removable dentures require special care.
Implants
Dental implants replace missing teeth by drilling small titanium screws into the jaw bone, creating a root for a replacement tooth that can be covered by a crown, bridge, or dentures to provide a natural-looking replacement for missing teeth. The implant is first placed into the jaw and then allowed to fuse with the bone before the prosthetic is placed on top. Implants provide long-lasting support and most closely replace the strength and stability of natural teeth.

BOTOX®
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription drug used to treat permanent furrows and deep wrinkles formed by the continual contraction of facial muscles. BOTOX® is particularly useful in treating dental issues related to muscle tension and hyperactivity, such as TMJ and bruxism (tooth grinding). We can also use it for general cosmetic treatment in conjunction with dentistry work to frame your new smile in a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
Treating Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMJ)
The primary application of BOTOX® in dentistry is treating temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ). TMJ can range from constant discomfort to intense pain in patients, making even simple tasks like eating or speaking difficult to impossible.
BOTOX® relaxes muscles, reducing the strain on the temporomandibular joint and alleviating pain while the joint heals. A pleasant side effect of BOTOX® treatment for TMJ is a reduction in the headaches that are associated with it.
Treating Bruxism (Tooth Grinding)
Tooth grinding is excessive clenching of the jaw and grinding of the teeth, resulting in accelerated wear and tear on teeth as well as fractures and damage to other restorative dental treatments.
BOTOX® can be crucial in treating tooth grinding by relaxing jaw muscles. This reduces the intensity and frequency of the clenching, protecting the teeth and other restorative dental treatments.
General Cosmetic Uses
Properly placed injections of BOTOX® weaken muscles so they don’t contract as well, temporarily eliminating moderately severe furrows and lines. BOTOX® treats:
- Forehead furrows
- Frown lines
- Crow’s feet
- Skin bands on the neck
JUVÉDERM® XC Injectable Gel
JUVÉDERM® XC injectable gel temporarily treats moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds in people older than 21. JUVÉDERM XC is infused with lidocaine to make its injection more comfortable. JUVÉDERM XC is most effective in improving the appearance of nasolabial folds, or smile lines, that run from the bottom of the nose to the corner of the mouth on both sides of the face.
The rejuvenating results of JUVÉDERM XC are visible immediately after injection. You might be wondering how long JUVÉDERM XC lasts. Typically, results can last 6 to 9 months, and, in some cases, up to a year. However, according to its manufacturer, “Supplemental ‘touch up’ treatments may be required to achieve and maintain optimal correction of… wrinkles and folds.”
Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMJ) Treatment
Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ) refers to a group of related disorders resulting from problems with the jaw, jaw joint, or the facial muscles involved in jaw movement. The temporomandibular joint is one of the body’s most frequently used joints. A properly functioning TMJ’s muscles, ligaments, and bones must be working properly. Any conditions that prevent them from doing so may cause the pain associated with this disorder. We have extensive training in treating TMJ through physiologic dentistry, appliance therapy, and/or full mouth reconstruction.
Dental Hygiene
Maintaining good dental hygiene is essential not only for a bright, confident smile but also for your overall health. Regular visits help catch potential problems early, prevent tooth decay and gum disease, and keep your mouth feeling fresh.
